Traditional Martial Arts Camps

Picture
Oom Yung Doe Camps teach Traditional Martial Arts movements and principles which help children discover lasting self-confidence and strength of character.  The movements and lessons build focus, concentration, and social skills that will help students successfully navigate school and negative social pressures.  Each program offers special age appropriate lessons and opportunities.

Kid's Camp (Ages 4 to 8)
Kid's Camps focus on Traditional Martial Arts movements from Kong Su (Tae Kwon Do/Karate), Jiujitsu, and Kung Fu.  The movements will help children build strength, balance, and coordination as they become more aware of their bodies.  In addition children will have the opportunity to participate in safety and situational awareness activities from the three R's of Safety: Recognize, Resist, and Report.

Juniors Camp (Ages 9 to 12)
Junior Camps are an immersive Traditional Martial Arts experience where students will explore different martial arts styles including Kong Su (Tae Kwon Do/Karate), Kung Fu, Jiujitsu, and Samurai Sword (bamboo sword) as well as self-defense techniques.  This camp helps juniors discover lasting self confidence and strength of character, mind and body. Our summer camp is designed to develop the focus, concentration, and social skills needed to give students greater success for the coming school year, and more!

Leadership Camp (Ages 13 to 17)
Traditional Martial Arts Leadership Camps develop personal skill and ability through practice with the different martial arts styles while learning aspects of leadership.  Students will start out learning to lead through the example they set for other and progress into teaching in one-on-one situations or small groups of younger students.  This is a great stepping stone for teens who are interested in becoming an Assistant Instructor.
