Ages: 12 to 16 Younger students with Instructor permission.

Group lessons for students between12 and 16 years of age are focused on developing not just physical strength, flexibility, and coordination, but also mental discipline, determination, and focus. Skills that will help them avoid peer pressure and other negative social situations. In many cases it has also helped them improve academically and provide a foundation for the rest of their lives.
Movement comes primarily from the Udo (Jujitsu), Kong Su (a hard style like Tae Kwon Do or Karate), and Kung Fu, but students will learn all eight styles as they work toward earning their black belt.
Students may attend an unlimited number of lessons during each month they are registered.

In the videos below Jeffery demonstrates the changes he experienced through Oom Yung Doe training. Through practicing the series of jump fan kicks (left), he learned to coordinate his upper and lower body to achieve a more balanced and connected movement. This helped him develop the strength to both jump and kick higher. In the Tuksuli (Eagle Form Kung Fu) video (right), Jeffery demonstrates how he learned to utilize his upper body beginning primarily with his shoulders and moving into his chest and upper back demonstrated at the end of the video.
In the video to the right, students demonstrate movements from the Udo style (similar to Jujitsu). In this style, students learn how to correctly roll and fall to protect themselves from injury. This style also emphasizes body control and confidence. For youth students, this style develops incredible physical strength and flexibility, especially in the core area. The style also develops in students the self-confidence and discipline that will help them navigate social pressures that they may face in school.
In the video to the left, students demonstrate some of the movements from Kong Su (a hard style similar to Karate or Tae-kwon-do). This style teaches students how to move in straight lines with strength and purpose. The emphasis of the blocks is on using the arms and developing strength which is often applied in quick, sharp movements. Students will challenge themselves to get into their lowest positions to develop strength and flexibility in their legs and back. This helps them develop the kicking ability demonstrated in the later part of the video.
